Programme content, schedules, and fees are subject to change. We will communicate any changes to enrolled participants with reasonable advance notice.
§4. Enrolment
4.1 Enquiry and Confirmation
Submitting an enquiry through our contact form does not constitute a confirmed enrolment. Enrolment is confirmed only upon receipt of payment and a written confirmation from Permata Studies.
4.2 Cohort Sizes
Our programmes are conducted in small cohorts to preserve the quality of instruction. Places are limited and allocated in the order in which confirmed enrolments are received.
4.3 Prerequisites
Certain programmes are intended for participants with prior experience in the relevant subject area. We may ask you to describe your background before confirming a place. We reserve the right to decline an enrolment if we believe the programme is not appropriate for your current level of familiarity with the subject.
4.4 Certificates
Participants who complete a programme receive a written record of attendance. Our certificates record participation; they do not carry professional licensing or regulatory standing.
§5. User Responsibilities
When using our website and participating in our programmes, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information in all enquiries and enrolment forms;
- Treat faculty and fellow participants with respect;
- Not reproduce, distribute, or share programme materials without our written consent;
- Not use this website for any unlawful purpose or in a manner that could harm Permata Studies or other users;
- Comply with all applicable Malaysian laws and regulations.
§6. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, layout, design, syllabi, pre-session summaries, and lecture materials — is the property of Permata Studies and is protected under Malaysian intellectual property law.
Enrolled participants are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use programme materials for their personal study. This licence does not extend to commercial reproduction, redistribution, or adaptation of any kind.
§7. Payment and Fees
All fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes. Payment is required in full before the commencement of a programme unless a written instalment arrangement has been agreed in advance. We accept payment by bank transfer and other methods as communicated at the time of enrolment confirmation.
§8. Deferral and Refunds
We understand that circumstances change. The following terms apply:
- Deferral — if you are unable to attend a programme you have enrolled in, you may defer your place to the next available intake of the same programme without penalty, subject to availability, provided you notify us at least 14 days before the programme begins.
- Cancellation by participant — if you cancel your enrolment more than 21 days before the programme begins, we will refund 80% of the fee paid. Cancellations within 21 days of commencement are non-refundable.
- Cancellation by Permata Studies — in the event that we cancel a programme, participants will receive a full refund of the fee paid or the option to transfer to an alternative intake.
§9. Disclaimers
Our programmes are educational in nature. They are designed to improve understanding of financial concepts and planning considerations relevant to adults in Malaysia. They do not constitute:
- Financial advice within the meaning of the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007;
- Investment advice, tax advice, or legal advice of any kind;
- A recommendation to purchase or sell any specific financial product or instrument.
Participants are encouraged to consult appropriately licensed professionals before making material financial decisions. We do not represent or imply that attending our programmes will produce any particular financial outcome.
This website and its content are provided on an "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from security vulnerabilities.
§10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Permata Studies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or participation in our programmes, including but not limited to:
- Financial loss arising from investment decisions informed by programme content;
- Loss of data or business opportunity;
- Personal injury or property damage not caused by our direct negligence.
Our total liability in connection with any single claim shall not exceed the fees paid by the claimant for the specific programme to which the claim relates.
§11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Permata Studies, its faculty, and staff from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your conduct during participation in our programmes.
§12. Termination
We reserve the right to remove a participant from a programme — without refund — if their conduct is disruptive, disrespectful, or in violation of these Terms. We will communicate any such decision in writing and provide a brief account of the grounds.
Provisions relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution survive any termination of this Agreement.
§13. Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from or connected with this Agreement shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation between the parties. If a resolution cannot be reached within 30 days of written notice, the matter may be referred to mediation under the rules of the Malaysian Mediation Centre before any court proceedings are commenced.
The courts of Kuala Lumpur shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any legal proceedings arising from this Agreement.

- Severability — if any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.

- Assignment — you may not transfer your rights or obligations under this Agreement without our prior written consent.
- Notices — formal notices to us must be sent in writing to the address or email listed below.
§15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Changes take effect immediately upon publication. Continued use of our website or participation in a programme after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
